Entering our fifth summer of traveling the globe and forging new friendships, USA California Lacrosse is excited to announce another rare and unique opportunity for our 2008 USA California Lacrosse teams. We are taking an U-19 men's team and an U-23 women's team to Beijing, China; Tokyo, Japan and Sapporo, Japan.

After a successful 2007 summer, during which more than one hundred USA California Lacrosse players and coaches traveled the world competing internationally, we again offer something different. This year we are taking our teams to the site of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Our teams will be traveling to two continents and visiting three unique and ancient cities. First, both our U-19 boys and girls players will fly to Beijing, China where they will compete in the inaugural 2008 China Ambition International Lacrosse Tournament. This looks to be an outstanding event! Nine other teams from various Asian Pacific countries will compete. These include three teams from Japan (2 womens and 1 mens), 2 from China (1 womens and 1 mens) and two from Hong Kong (1 womens and 1 mens). Then, of course, here come the USA California  teams to join them and be ambassadors of the sport from the United States.

Team members will spend five nights in the ancient city of Beijing, China, home of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. With the game of lacrosse in its developmental stages in China, USA California team members will have the opportunity to be ambassadors of the sport and also to compete in what looks to be an outstanding tournament. While in Beijing, players will have the opportunity to visit some of the world's most historical sites such as The Great Wall, The Forbidden City and Tian’anmen square while also getting to visit some of the venues for the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

After Beijing players will fly to the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan for four days and nights where they will compete in the 2008 International Lacrosse Friendship Games. While staying in Tokyo, players will be competing against some of the best teams from that city and they will also have time to visit many of the wonderful sites throughout Tokyo.

To complete the last 4 days of their trip, the players will next travel to the Island of Sapporo, Japan. Here they will also have the opportunity to play against the best competition from this area. Last summer, our U-19 Boys team made history when they became the first international team to travel to Sapporo and compete against local teams. This year our U-19 girls team will make history by being the first foreign women’s team to travel to this area.
